Titanium frame construction: Art meets innovation at MÖVE and VER-TEC
Prized for its outstanding durability and lightness, titanium has been a preferred material for premium bicycle frames for decades. In traditional craftsmanship, building titanium frames is a specialty that requires specific skills and techniques, especially in welding and forming the TiAl3V2.5 alloy, to achieve the desired strength and aesthetics.
The engineers at MÖVE, the fathers of VER-TEC, have taken up this traditional art and developed a groundbreaking technology that makes it possible to produce titanium frames cost-efficiently and in series in Germany. A future is ahead in which recycled titanium powder from titanium chips will be used to 3D print frame sleeves to further increase efficiency and minimize environmental impact.
With every "Titan E-Bike" and "Titan Gravel E-Bike" from Germany, which combines the tradition of craftsmanship with the latest technology, MÖVE and VER-TEC set new standards in the bicycle industry and promote sustainable production methods.
